Reminiscing in the future

Quite interesting how history repeats itself. Dreams grow until they turn into reality. I wrote my last book 30 years ago after having stumbled into the writing business unintentionally. In the beginning, 1984, writing on a brand new 128K Macintosh lend to me by an Apple dealer from Augsburg. All my writing happened on this desk at my shack in Schondorf af the lake Ammersee.

Always with the same cassette tape that I turned around until the tape was translucent:

And always drinking the same flavoured tea.

When I had been approached first time for writing a book by the then publisher Becker & Partner in Aachen, I was like: "Well. Never wrote a book. Sounds cool. Sure!". Turned out to be a couple books, publications, articles and so on. Last book published in 1986.

I've revisited "Le Parc" lately being a great Tangerine Dream fan and got myself the very same flavoured tea I was drinking galore back then. This combination of sound and taste created the vivid memory depicted above. Instantly…

It's time to close the circle, I guess!
